“Never forget what you are, for surely the
world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness.
Armor yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you.” (George R.R.
Martin).
This is a beautiful quote that talks about loving your persona
or identity. In life one of the most important things a person develops is an identity.
Identity is a set of characteristics
that define a person and make them unique. An identity develops mostly as we
grow up; everything we see or hear influences our character. In other words,
what we learn as we grow up influences our values, beliefs, and interests which
in the end creates that individuality. Our
characters are definitely all unique, and we should all
learn to love ourselves for who we are.
One important aspect that makes us unique is our beliefs. Everyone has different beliefs in life, and whether you believe in god, ghosts or aliens. Your
beliefs make up your identity.
I believe in god, and I believe in aliens it’s these two beliefs that
make part of my identity.
A second
quality that makes us all unique is our values
because everyone values something different in life. There are people who
value friendship others who value money. I value my family, and this quality
makes me unique.
In the end, these are three aspects that make
each identity unique. These
are my beliefs, interests, and values that make me stand out from everybody
else.
It's clear you stand by your morals and values for the right reasons, family and love are a strong cornerstone in your foundation. It seems more and more people value money and prestige over love.
ReplyDeleteBut love is something money can't buy...
I like how you states your morals on your interest and your beliefs because many people are really focusing in money then family.
ReplyDeleteYou are a blossoming flower, and the way you have expressed yourself is crystal clear.
ReplyDeletegreat job
I enjoy how you wove this post together like a tapestry of words and images. You gave us some insights into your own identity and allowed us to know more of what is important to you. I like the final photo of just you. I believe photographs convey messages and that final photo of just you, it is like you're saying, "Yep, this is me!"
ReplyDeleteWell done!//lm
